I was born and raised on a mixed farming operation in Michigan and immigrated to Canada in 1981 to work in the purebred cattle industry. After a 25 plus year career in Real Estate in Calgary, my wife Becky and I moved to the Comox Valley in 2015. We both enjoy everything outdoors with my passions being fly fishing, hunting and camping. I am a believer in giving back and I am a member and volunteer for Courtenay District Fish and Game Protective Association, Comox Valley Fly Fishers and Anderton Therapeutic Gardens Society. I look forward to making your next vehicle purchase or lease a pleasant and fun experience and welcoming you to the Brian McLean Family. ...Read More

I was born and raised on beautiful Vancouver Island. I lived in Ladysmith until Grade 5 when my family got relocated to Courtenay for my Dads promotion with Safeway. I’ve been living in the beautiful Valley since then with a few trips in between. I did a Golf Club Management diploma through Selkirk College as some post-secondary and was a CPGA Apprentice Professional for five years. I still play a little golf and am quite involved with the local charity golf and scramble events. I worked for Enterprise Rent-a-Car for seven years and worked into a management role. One day I decided to have a coffee with Rod McLean who invited me to join the team here. I’ve now been with the McLean Family for five years and can’t say enough good things about the store and people here. I have built a connection with my customers and many I now consider friends in the Valley; It’s just the McLean way of business. I’m most involved in the Cycling community and for the past five years have completed the Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation and I am proud to make a donation to my fundraising as a memorable moment for myself and each new client. If you’re in the market for a new or used car please come say Hello so I can buy you a coffee and show you around. ...Read More

I have more years in the automotive industry than I care to admit. After growing up in Kitimat and working in my families sporting goods store there, I moved to Terrace where I began my automotive career washing cars in 1997. In the fall of 1997 I met my wife Stephanie, and after living up north for another few years, Stephanie and I decided to move to the Lower Mainland in the summer of 2000. While Stephanie studying at UBC, I worked during the day at an automotive dealership and began working with local comedy companies throughout the city. In the winter of 2002 I decided to give comedy a full time try and moved to Los Angeles. I returned to Vancouver in the spring of 2003 and began what I thought would be a brief relationship with General Motors. After spending 12 years in the city with GM, and finding out that we were expecting our second child, Stephanie and I decided we needed a change in lifestyle and began exploring opportunities on the Island. When we discovered the Comox Valley we knew this is where we wanted to be, we had longed for the idea to get back to a tight knit community, and raise our children in a place that reminded us of where we grew up. It was one of the best decisions we have ever made. Myself and my family are avid mountain bikers, and love all the recreational activities that the island has to offer. One last interesting fact, Our children (Riley and Tucker) share the same birthday, September 28th, although they are born 5 years apart. ...Read More
